The High Country Unitarian Universalist Fellowship has several committees which meet regularly.  New members are always welcome. Please contact a Board member is you would like to serve on a committee.

Celebrations
Sunday services at our Fellowship are spiritual, diverse, thought-provoking, and embracing of the great issues and challenges of this life. Our part-time minister speaks once a month and the other three or four Sundays are filled by guest speakers from all walks of life -- ministers of other faiths as well as UU, scientists, educators, artists, politicians and our own members, among others. Services are held every Sunday from 9 to 10 AM at the Summit County Community and Senior Center in Frisco, Colorado. A coffee fellowship hour is held immediately following each service and we consider our coffee and social time to be as important as anything we do on a Sunday morning!

Committee Members are: Rev. Wanda Daniel - Facilitator, Liz Clark, Jon Hans, Don Parsons.

Ministerial Relations
This committee serves as a liaison between the minister and the various constituencies of HCUUF [Board, committees and chairs, membership] in areas of work flow and human resource issues.  It is comprised of three members, one selected by the Board, one by the minister and the third by both appointees.  At present, the positions on this committee are not yet filled because of the imminent arrival of our new minister.
Members serving on this Committee are: Harold Gant-Chair, Liz Clark, Jerry Kelly.

Music
Realizing the important role music can play in our spiritual lives, we try to incorporate a variety of music, both vocal and instrumental, into our services. Since we are a small and relatively new congregation, we do not have a formal choir but there is a group composed of both experienced and non-experienced singers that meets at 8:30 every Sunday morning before the service to rehearse the hymns and, occasionally, a special number for the service. This group  is open to anyone who wishes to join. We also have some of our area's best vocalists and instrumentalists as guests from time to time.
Members serving on this Committee are: Liz Clark & Laura Maynard(co-chairs).

Nominating Committee
It is the responsibility of the Nominating Committee to recommend a slate of candidates for the election of a President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, and At-Large Members at the annual meeting. The nominating committee is also responsible for the recommendation of committee chair positions at any time that they become vacant during the year, and for the recommendation of members of the Ministerial Committee and Nominating Committee.
Members serving on this Committee are: Marty Hertzberg, Kris caldwell.

Religious Education
Children are important at HCUUF. We value and welcome them in love, safety and justice, for who they are right now. We try to help children make meaning of their experiences within our faith. Our children take part in the service for the first fifteen minutes, and then they are dismissed to a unique religious education program. During their 45-minute session, they participate in a variety of fun activities. Our religious education theme for this year is "We Believe, Learning and Living Our Unitarian Universalist Principles". The curriculum is designed for a wide range of ages and should be a learning experience for those who choose to teach the classes and our youngest members, too. In addition, throughout the year, the RE children will learn about holidays and religions from all over the world, UU heritage, and participate in environmental and service projects of their choosing.

The Chair of this committee is Jennifer Wright.
